A visualisation of some 57000 series in the collection of the National Archives of Australia. Each series is represented as a square: the area of the square is proportional to the amount of shelf space the series occupies. The thickness of the coloured border of the square is related to how many registered items the series contains. Series are ordered chronologically from top to bottom, according to their accumulation start date (the year that records were first collected in that series). Series are coloured according to their prefix. See the National Archives CRS Manual for more on series prefixes.
