ISSUES FROM THE CASE STUDIES
|
The issue of the relative contributions of the group members is a really
tricky one and previously in this unit I have used peer assessment to
do that. (CS3) So the students know that they have this percentage of the final mark
that is theirs to give each other based on how much each group member
contributes, how well they worked in the team. The mark is quite a small
percentage of the overall mark. but it's very telling. (CS5) I don't feel the need so much for a separate individual contribution mark, but the similar system that I use in other courses, whereby a student is under performing or over performing - methods such as peer review as well as staff observation - will come into play. (CS6)
